Workshop-My talking drawing
What would it be like if your own drawing could talk? What could the drawing tell you then? In this special workshop, you will automatically get the answer! Because you will learn how to make your drawing talk.
The students will make their own drawing. They can choose whether to do this with colour pencils, crayons or markers. Actually, it doesn't really matter which material they will use to make the drawing. On the other hand, it is important that the pupils make a drawing of human, animal or fantasy creature. To make the drawing really talk, you need two eyes and a mouth. After the drawing is finished, a picture is taken with a tablet after which pupils can make the drawing talk themselves. They do this by speaking texts and adjusting the speed and pitch. For the pupils, it is a very special experience to hear and see their own drawing talk.
Key objectives
Students learn to use pictures to communicate. This allows them to translate subjects as they perceive them through a digital tool. They gain some knowledge and appreciation of, aspects of their environment. They also acquire photo editing skills and techniques in an exploratory phase. In addition, they learn to handle new media, such as computers, tablets and iPads. Pupils learn to look differently at their environment, as well as improving their sensory perception.
